2010 Summer Work Trip
St. Paul’s Sr. High Youth

To: Parents, youth and interested parties

Greetings!

Our summer worktrip will be June 13-19 (Sunday to Saturday). We are going to the Kentucky Small Farms Project in Beattyville. Previous youth groups have been to this location many times and enjoyed it very much. Our mission is to help low income or disabled persons with home repair. This includes carpentry, roofing, siding, and painting. Please do not be intimidated. Handyman skills are not required. This is a fantastic learning experience for our youth.

All youth in senior high are invited (rising ninth graders and up through graduated seniors). I am currently searching for an adult chaperone to assist me. I am also thinking about a whitewater rafting trip for our last day.

The registration fee this year is $140 for members of our youth group. Actual costs are much higher. Funding comes from several sources, including St. Paul's parish and parent fees. Please speak to me if the registration fee is a hardship. Scholarships are available for members of the parish.

The deadline for registration is May 30, but I would like to know soon if anyone is interested. Please pay your registration fee by that date. You may register by contacting Paul directly. Send an email to paul@stpaulsmaumee.org, or call the church office.

I look forward to a wonderful trip.  Your prayers and support will be appreciated.
