We have special events throughout the entire school year.  The school year begins with a Meet and Greet for students.  This is a time for children to explore their classroom and meet their teacher.  In September we invite grandparents to come and share a snack, hear a story and do a special project with their grandchild. As October rolls around, the signs of fall become more prominent.  This is a time when the children have fun exploring the new season.  We also have parent-teacher conferences and hold our annual Halloween parade.   In November, we have a Thanksgiving feast with a Charlie Brown theme. December brings our special Christmas celebration with a surprise visitor. Our Open House for new families is held in January and in February, we enjoy fun Valentine's parties. In March we celebrate our 100th day of school and hold parent-teacher conferences.  April is a busy month as we hold our Art Show and celebrate Easter.  Finally in May, we enjoy an end of the year celebration/graduation ceremony along with a family picnic.

Parent Involvement

Here at EWP we have an open door policy and encourage parents to become involved with their child's class.  There are many different types of volunteer opportunities throughout the year.  We love our parents and know that we need them to help us provide the best educational experience possible.

Another way to get involved is to become a part of the Elizabeth Wayne Parents Organization (EWPO). EWPO hosts fun family events and fundraisers throughout the year. They are in the process of planning future events and invite all EWP parents to their monthly meetings to help.
